About Sumit Kotwal

Sumit Kotwal, born on January 17, 2005, is a remarkable young athlete who embodies the essence of dedication and determination. He embarked on his golf journey at the tender age of 8, after being exposed to a variety of sports through his father’s military background

His father, Lieutenant Colonel Sanjay Kumar of the Indian army, and his mother, Sulekha Kotwal have provided him with unwavering support through his journey as an athlete.

Sumit's passion for golf set him on a unique path, where he found his mentor and coach Tarun Sardesai. Over the past 6 years, he has honed his skills at the TSG Academy under Tarun sir and his team's watchful guidance. Sumit's character is defined by his hard work, persistence, and competitive spirit, perfectly encapsulating his favorite mantra: "It's not over until I win."
